PTA

The Buckman PTA is a vital part of Buckman's community. It is officially a membership organization, but all families are welcome to participate. Monthly meetings bring us together to share information and support the school's efforts on behalf of Buckman students. The PTA organizes many of the school's major events, including the annual Harvest Fest, Auction, and Art Show & Sell.

Our PTA is responsible for organizing volunteers, holding parent education meetings, hosting «family nights», and sponsoring fundraisers. Monies raised over the past few years have paid for the covered playground shed and new upper playground equipment, technology equipment, a piano, annual curriculum fund, visiting writers, donations to the clothing center and student aid fund, and more.

Your $10 membership will be good through October, 2008. If you are interested in being an active PTA member but can't afford the dues, you
may be able to obtain a free membership with a scholarship. Available on a first-come, first-served basis, the review of scholarships will
