Buckman Community, it’s that time of year! Come celebrate at our End of Year School Picnic! Friday, June 3 from 5:30 – 7:30pm. Bring a blanket and food or purchase food there. There will be music, face painting, arts and crafts and acrobatics!
Help Green Dragon – one of Buckman’s supporters – repair the mural at the intersection of 9th and Yamhill. They are hosting a party to repaint and repair; let’s support them as they have supported us!
Meet and play with other incoming kindergartens and families while your kindergartens become familiar with Buckman.
Roll up your sleeves, meet other Buckman families, and get some exercise while beautifying a neighborhood landmark! Help usher in the new school year by joining in a grounds clean up before school starts. Buckman will be participating in the PPS Community Care Day, in which schools across the district get schools tidied up before students arrive.
This event allows kindergartners to familiarize themselves with school grounds and meet children who will be in their assigned classrooms, and parents can begin forming classroom connections. Further details coming soon!
Meet up with other kinder parents after dropping off your child on the first day of school. Join the PTA and school principal in the cafeteria for coffee and snacks.
