The Buckman Auction Goes Digital

We’re taking the Buckman Auction online! While we can’t meet in person, we can still support the people who are a critical part of our school: the staff who make Buckman Buckman! We’re getting creative with our auction this year, now scheduled as a week-long online event launching May 15th and culminating with a school-wide virtual gathering for the final hour of the auction on May 21st.

We’ll be launching the auction with Zoom kick off parties on May 15 where you can learn about virtual and traditional auction items and packages, including lots of great activities with teachers, and learn the ins and outs of the bidding process while connecting with other parents. We’re looking for kick off party hosts in every grade, or even every class. If you are interested in being a Zoom host, please reach out to the team at auction@buckmanelementary.org!

WCGYou do need to sign up and register a credit card in order to bid in the auction, but registration is easy and free! And better yet, our amazing auction sponsor West Coast Grocery is offering a free 16 oz. beer of your choice to every registrant, pick up from May 11-15th.

Year-End Ask Campaign Asks YOU to Support Buckman!

Year-End Ask is on!  This is Buckman annual campaign to ask members of the Buckman community to support our Foundation. This year, the Buckman Foundation aims to raise enough funds to continue to have a Therapeutic Intervention Coach position at Buckman again next year, a position fully-funded by the efforts of the Buckman Foundation and hundreds of members of the community who support it.

Good news: If 75 people give at any level before December 31, a group of Buckman families has pledged to give an additional $11,100 to Buckman! Make your gift today – no amount is too small!

Bowl-A-Ween – Sunday, Oct 27!

Bowling for Bowl-A-WeenHead out to Grand Central Bowl for an annual Buckman tradition: Bowl-A-Ween! Join other members of Buckman for bowling, raffles, costumes, and more on on Sunday, Oct 27 from 11-1pm where all the lanes will be reserved for Buckman! The sliding scale entry cost (Adults $15-$20 and kids $5-$10) includes shoe rental and food and drinks are available for purchase. All proceeds benefit the Foundation! Costumes highly encouraged.

Buckman Year-End Ask Campaign Has Launched!

Every year, the Buckman Foundation turns to the school community to ask for direct donations to support arts and literacy staffing at our school. The Year-End Ask campaign launches on #GivingTuesday, an international day of giving, and runs until December 31.

Please consider making your contribution. Giving is easy: drop of a check in the Foundation mailbox or give online at allhandsraised.org (be sure to select “PPS” and then “Buckman School” from the drop-downs). You can spread out your gift into monthly payments or make a one-time contribution.

Giving at any level helps! If we reach 75 donors – of any amount – our Challenge Match sponsors have agreed to contribute $8,500 collectively to the school! A gift of $5 can make all the difference.

Thank you for continuing to support Buckman! If you have any questions, please reach out to the Buckman Foundation by emailing foundation@buckmanelementary.org.
