Why donate to Move For the Arts?
Last year, Buckman was able to avert staffing cuts due reaching fundraising goals set by PTA and Buckman Foundation. PTA also supports grade level performances, classroom needs, SUN program, grounds maintenance, classroom grants and so much more. Without adequate levels of funding, we can’t rule out another round of possible staffing cuts.

Save the date! OMSI Science Festival is coming to Buckman on Wednesday October 19th at 6pm. Come for a bit or the whole time. All families welcome, grownups are asked to be with their students at all times.
OMSI will fill the cafeteria with tables of science equipment and challenges guaranteed to thrill and perplex adults and children alike!

From the Buckman Elementary Student:
On Friday, Oct. 7, 2022, I will be participating in the Buckman Elementary Move For The Arts. I will have 20 minutes to run, walk, dance or cheer on my classmates. I’m going to move my body however I feel like moving! The funds collected will be divided evenly and go to Buckman Elementary PTA, Foundation and SUN to help pay for all our arts performances, staffing and after school programming. Buckman Elementary is a unique arts focused school. It is the only arts focused Elementary public school in Portland and we rely on community donations for much of our programming. I hope you can help by sponsoring me!
