Tomorrow morning at the apparel sale we will kick off our annual Foundation Year-End Ask. Please join us under the tent for some warm coffee! I hear the elusive Buckman Bear will be there!☕️🧢🐻
For those new to our amazing community: Year-End-Ask is a yearly campaign which raises funds for supplementary staffing positions. The Foundation’s first priority is raising enough money to fully fund the art program at Buckman. As you all know, Buckman is the ONLY arts-focused public elementary school in Portland. The foundation provides art staffing support for areas in need each year.🎨🎵🩰🎭
Good news🎉: A group of Buckman families have pledged to donate an additional $10,000 to this campaign if 75 families give AT ANY LEVEL before December 31!🎉
This means a gift of $5 or $10 can make a tremendous difference toward our 75-donor goal. I hope you will give as you are able. For some, that may be a $5 donation, for others it may be $10 per month, and for some it may be $500 or more.

Good Afternoon, Bears! Foundation will be having an apparel sale before school tomorrow morning from 8:15-8:50AM. Please stop by and pick up one or more of our awesome new enamel buckman pins and sweatshirts (xs-xxl in adult sizes). The xs sweatshirt fits older kiddos great! We will also be accepting bear-ly worn buckman gear donations for SUN as well as donations for our YEAR-END-ASK. Every donation counts!!!🧢🐻??

Hi Buckman Bears! My kiddos and I are unfortunately sick and I’m going to have to cancel this event. I’m going to try and start this back up in January and enlist some volunteers who would be interested in helping me organize these meet-ups. That will also help in the event that an organizer is sick. If anyone is interested, feel free to sign up under the committee’s and social groups section and we can connect.
Join the Buckman Bears Club at our December meet-up for Cocoa, Cider and Caroling on Foster! Kainos Coffee will be offering free cider and cocoa at 64th and Foster while Blueprint Carolers will be singing holiday songs from 3-4:30pm.
Meet outside of Hammer + Jacks and lets walk around the neighborhood and enjoy the festivities.
