Hello Buckman Bears! We are delighted to kick off another year of adventure at Buckman Elementary. We hope you are excited, too!
Many families feel overwhelmed at the start of the school year, so we’ll keep this information short. The Buckman PTA wants to stay connected with you throughout the year, so here are a few ways we keep in touch:
Konstella – This is an opt-in messaging system used by many staff members and the PTA to communicate information about school happenings. Sign up for your account at konstella.com. If you already have an account, awesome! Check your messages regularly (they can be sent to your email). We also use the Konstella calendar as the primary feed on this website for all community events. You can subscribe to the calendar via Konstella or the subscribe button on the calendar page here (note: this calendar does not include class-specific content, only general Buckman events).
Buckman Community Facebook Group – Request to join this informal community group, where parents, families, and staff ask questions and share feedback.
Weekly Newsletter – Many groups regularly contribute information to the school’s weekly newsletter, generally sent out on Fridays. If you are not receiving the school newsletter, check with school administrators to be sure they have the correct email address on file.
Buckmanelementary.org – (This website!) – Updates are posted to the volunteer-run website (not the same as the PPS site) throughout the school year.
